Dino publicly disclosed excerpts from a security report produced by the STF’s Judicial Police Secretariat, detailing thousands of online messages containing death threats and physical aggression. The report identifies specific threats of assassination, including mentions of execution by firing squad, hanging, and dismemberment. While Dino previously noted threats against himself and fellow justices Alexandre de Moraes and Cristiano Zanin, the scope of the report has expanded to include ministers Gilmar Mendes and Dias Toffoli, Prosecutor General Paulo Gonet, and Federal Police Director-General Andrei Rodrigues. The report indicates that the highest volume of hostile posts is concentrated on the social media platform X. In response, STF President Edson Fachin has ordered the Federal Police to investigate the threats. The court stated it is maintaining maximum alert and coordinating with intelligence and security agencies to ensure the physical integrity of its members. Dino emphasized that such intimidation must not influence judicial decisions, asserting that judicial independence is essential to the Constitution.
