Political activity in Chad has seen a series of strategic shifts and leadership changes among major parties. In early October, the Réveil Panafricain pour le Changement (RPC) began a process to revise its social program to better reflect national realities. Concurrently, the Parti républicain centriste (PRC) commenced activities, positioning itself as a centrist force focused on stability, dialogue, and inclusive governance. By mid-October, the National Union for Development and Renewal (UNDR) underwent a formal leadership transition in N’Djaména, with Célestin Topona Mocnga succeeding Saleh Kebzabo as president. Topona Mocnga emphasized party unity and a readiness to engage in political dialogue with the MPS. He also highlighted urgent national concerns, including inflation, corruption, intercommunal conflicts in the Tibesti and Miski regions, and the impact of the war in Sudan on refugee influxes. On October 17, the UNDR held a political relaunch in N’Djamena. Under the leadership of Executive Secretary Célestin Topona Mocnga, the party reiterated its commitment to national cohesion, democracy, and dialogue, while addressing ongoing socio-economic issues such as insecurity and inflation. In a separate development, the African Center for Peace (CAP) hosted the second Youth Salon in N’Djamena, an event centered on sustainable development, innovation, and peace for Chadian youth.
