Porsche has introduced several technological updates and equipment packages for its vehicle lineup. For the Macan, Macan 4, and Macan 4S models, the company launched an ‘Advanced package’ that bundles features such as a panoramic roof, Matrix LED headlights, and a Bose surround sound system. The GTS and Turbo versions also received a new 22 kW on-board charger, while standard equipment was updated to include adaptive cruise control and an upgraded wireless charging platform. Additionally, Porsche has expanded its Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus) infotainment retrofit program. This hardware is designed ~~for~~ to modernize the infotainment capabilities of approximately 300,000 vehicles from the 911, Cayman, and Boxster lines produced between 2009 and 2016. The system features a 7.0-inch high-resolution touchscreen and provides wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, alongside 4G connectivity for over-the-air updates. The retrofit is offered in two versions to accommodate specific vehicle generations: one for 2009–2013 models (987.2 and 997.2) and another for 2012–2016 models (981 and 991.1). Key features include satellite navigation, a ‘Scenic Roads’ function for suggesting winding routes, and integration with the instrument cluster to display navigation and media information. The system also supports vehicle-specific data, such as oil pressure and speed limits, and provides visual parking assistant graphics for Boxster and Cayman models. New capabilities include 4G LTE connectivity via a nano SIM slot for over-the-air map updates, support for DAB, FM, and AM radio, and the ability to play YouTube content while the vehicle is stationary in certain regions.
