Governor Ibrahim Abu Limon continues to expand Port Said’s urban and social development agenda. Infrastructure efforts in Borfuad include road resurfacing, lighting, and sidewalk improvements, alongside the renovation of low-cost housing and upgrades to sewage and water networks. Development is also progressing in the Al-Dawahi, Al-Manakh, and Al-Zohour districts through paving, lighting, and green space initiatives. Recent administrative priorities have intensified the implementation of presidential directives, specifically regarding the legalization of state-owned land, building violation reconciliation, and monitoring spatial changes. The Governor has emphasized the need for rapid response to citizen requests and the simplification of government procedures through technological centers, while also working to combat misinformation. In the Al-Zuhour district, road paving and efficiency upgrades in the Khaled bin Al-Walid area have reached approximately 80% completion, prompting the formation of a technical committee to ensure quality standards. A major integrated infrastructure project in the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab area, costing 270 million EGP, is also underway. Covering 250,000 square meters and serving roughly 16,000 citizens, this project includes upgrading sewage networks, street lighting, and storm water drainage for 168 residential buildings. ~~Other ongoing efforts include expanding green spaces~~ Expanding on these efforts, Governor Abu Limon has initiated new measures to address citizen grievances, including housing disputes, healthcare requests, and employment needs.
