Portland Timbers coaching transition

Overview

The Portland Timbers appointed Spanish coach Martí Cifuentes as their new head coach on a three-year contract through the 2028-29 season. Cifuentes succeeded Phil Neville, who departed in late May, and took over from interim coach Jack Cassidy.
