Overview
Portuguese technology company Tekever has signed a contract to supply AR5 long-range drones to the Portuguese Air Force (FAP) for maritime surveillance missions. The autonomous platforms, which feature a wingspan of nearly 8 meters, are intended to support monitoring of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), coastal security, environmental protection, and rural firefighting.
The agreement includes the delivery of the drones, a Ground Control Station, the ATLAS mission system, and operator training. Delivery is scheduled for early September, with training phases occurring in September and October to ensure operational readiness.
