The Portuguese independent arts and music scene is hosting several significant events in late 2026. In September, the tenth anniversary of Festival Iminente took place in Lisbon. Created by the artist Vhils, the multidisciplinary festival occupied the Escola Industrial Afonso Domingues in Marvila, a building abandoned for 16 years. The event featured over 140 artists across music, visual arts, dance, and cinema, and included discussions regarding nightlife, gentrification, and independent creation. Following this, the autumn season includes the FEIA#6 fair in Lisbon, scheduled for October 10 and 11 at the ZABRA space and Damas, featuring Damas. The fair brings together more than 20 independent record labels. labels and will feature live performances, DJ sets, and discussions regarding independent music and contemporary thought. Additionally, the Lux Interior festival in Coimbra will mark the 30th anniversary of Lux Records with a series of concerts at the Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente and Salão Brazil throughout October and November.
