Portuguese triathlon and aquathlon clubs, specifically Pedrógão Triatlo and Clube de Triatlo do Fundão (CTF), achieved various competitive successes in early September 2026. Pedrógão Triatlo saw significant results across multiple events, including a collective victory by its youth team during the 5th stage of the Regional Youth Triathlon Championship at Ortiga River Beach in Mação. The club also recorded seven individual podium finishes and 19 top-10 placements. Their participation extended to the National Cadet Championship in Alhandra, the Taça de Portugal, and the Triton Lisboa. Clube de Triatlo do Fundão also competed in Mação and Alhandra. In Alhandra, members participated in a super-sprint triathlon contributing to the Taça de Portugal and the National Cadet Championship. In Mação, CTF athletes competed in the Aquatlo de Mação as part of the Litoral e Interior Centro championships, where Pedro Andrade secured third place in the men’s general classification and won the 25-29 age group. In mid-September, CTF athletes continued their campaign at the II Triatlo de Ponte de Sor, which served as a scoring stage for the Campeonato do Litoral e Interior Centro Absoluto and the Campeonato Jovem do Litoral e Interior Centro. During this event, Rogério Pires secured 3rd place in the 50-54 age group, Pedro Maurício finished 4th in the 30-34 age group, and Tiago Monteiro placed 8th in the Cadets category.
