Pregnancy announcement by Giorgia Palmas and Filippo Magnini
Overview
Television personality Giorgia Palmas and former champion swimmer Filippo Magnini announced via social media that they are expecting a child. The couple shared the news using family photographs that included Palmas’s eldest daughter, Sofia, and her daughter with Magnini, Mia.
For Palmas, 44, this marks her third child, while it will be Magnini’s second. In their announcement, the couple described the pregnancy as a “beautiful surprise” and a “life is truly surprising” moment that has filled them with love and emotion. The couple has not yet disclosed the baby’s sex or the expected due date.
Following the initial announcement, the couple appeared on the television program Verissimo, hosted by Silvia Toffanin, to reveal that they are expecting a boy. Both Palmas and Magnini, who are 44, shared that the pregnancy was a major surprise, noting that previous attempts to expand their family several years ago were unsuccessful, making them believe a new pregnancy was unlikely. The baby is expected to arrive in March.
During the Verissimo appearance, Magnini shared an anecdote regarding the discovery, noting that he initially mistook a pregnancy test shown via video call for a medical test for their daughter, Mia. The couple, who have been together since 2018 and married in 2021, expect the baby to arrive in March 2027.
