Prime Video has released the official trailer and promotional artwork for the third season of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’. The eight-episode season is scheduled to premiere on November 11, 2026, with the release split into three parts: the first four episodes on November 11, two on November 18, and the final two on November 25. Set five years after the fall of Eregion, the narrative depicts a Middle-earth in the midst of widespread war. The plot focuses on Sauron’s attempt to forge the One Ring within Barad-dûr to achieve control. The trailer highlights the emergence of the Nazgnagôl, human servants who will eventually transform into the legendary Nazgûl, appearing in black armor. Various factions struggle for survival: the Dwarves have isolated themselves in Khazad-dûm, while the Elves in Lindon and Rivendell rely on the protection of the Three Rings. Additionally, political instability threatens to push Númenor toward civil war, and Gandalf is active in the eastern lands of Rhûn. New cast members include Jamie Campbell Bower as Celeborn, Zubin Varla as Khamûl, Eddie Marsan as Thrain, Andrew Richardson as Anarion, and Adam Young as Marnûkh, with Simon Pegg providing the voice for the Balrog. Co-showrunner J. D. Payne indicated that the upcoming season aims to explore a different side of the Balrog, including a planned encounter between the creature and Sauron. Returning actors include Charlie Vickers as Sauron, Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, Robert Aramayo as Elrond, and Daniel Weyman as Gandalf. Recent promotional teasers suggest the narrative will center on the war between Sauron and the Elves, alongside the creation of the One Ring.
