Princess Eugenie of York gave birth to her third child, a baby girl, on 3 August 2026 at a private hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The infant weighed 6 lb 9 oz (≈2.97 kg) and arrived at 18:20 local time. Buckingham Palace announced the birth, noting that King Charles III, Queen Camilla and other members of the royal family were delighted. Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank posted the first photo on Instagram on 4 August, showing the newborn in a pink onesie and captioning it “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.” The baby joins her older brothers, August (born 2021, now 5) and Ernest (born 2023, now 3). She automatically becomes a British citizen and is placed 15th in the line of succession, moving Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, to 16th. The family continues to split its time between the United Kingdom and Portugal, where they have maintained a residence since 2022 after Brooksbank took a role with the Discovery Land Company on the Costa Terra development in ~~Alentejo.~~ the Algarve.
