Production and casting changes in Kızılcık Şerbeti series

The Turkish television series ‘Kızılcık Şerbeti’ is facing significant production changes following the departure of its original writing team. Screenwriters Melis Civelek and Zeynep Gür, who have been with the Show TV series since its inception, are leaving Gold Film due to mutual agreements regarding disagreements over the scriptwriting process. This change is expected to take effect starting with episode 143. Adding to the production instability, actress Ceren Karakoç, who plays the character Nursema, has also departed the show. Karakoç stated in an interview that she believed she had reached an agreement to continue for the upcoming season, but was subsequently informed of her termination by the production company. She noted she was unaware that her character was scripted to die in an accident, an incident that has sparked industry discussions regarding contract terminations and seasonal planning. Further casting disputes have emerged with actress and social media personality Cansu Taşkın, who claims she was removed from the series after being scheduled for a three-episode arc. Taşkın stated she had undergone intensive preparation and auditions for the role, only to be removed from the cast on the same day she appeared in a promotional trailer. Expressing regret, Taşkın described declining two other project offers to accept this role as ‘one of the worst decisions of my life.’ While she characterized the situation as an injustice, she indicated she has personally closed the matter.
