Production for the film ‘Dharman’, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, has entered its second filming schedule. Presented by Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media, the project features Rajinikanth in a role described as ‘The Deadly Doctor’. The production has undergone directorial changes, with Marimuthu taking over after the departures of Sundar C and Cibi Chakravarthi. On August 15, 2026, Rajinikanth marked his 51st anniversary in the film industry with a cake-cutting ceremony on the ‘Dharman’ sets, commemorating his 1975 debut in ‘Apoorva Raagangal’. The film is his 173rd cinematic project and includes cast members Simran, Raashii Khanna, Rukmini Vasanth, and Yogi Babu, with music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Niketh Bommi. The production team reported that the second shooting schedule was completed ahead of schedule. Director ~~Ashwath~~ Marimuthu ~~recently~~ has indicated that filming is expected to conclude by October 2026.
