During the October 23, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, significant championship changes occurred. Michin and B-Fab defeated Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, ending the champions’ 14-day reign with assistance from Jade Cargill. In singles championship action, Chelsea Green successfully defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez. The match included interference from Raquel Rodriguez, which added complexity to Green’s upcoming scheduled bout against Liv Morgan at the Crown Jewel event. Other notable matches included a Street Fight won by Blake Monroe over Giulia. In tag team competition, Sami Zayn and Johnny Gargano faced Trick Williams and Rey Fenix following tensions regarding Zayn’s status as Undisputed WWE Champion. This match ended in disqualification following an attack by Ricky Saints, leading to the announcement of a six-man tag match featuring Penta. Looking ahead to the Crown Jewel premium live event, a Last Man Standing match was announced between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Additionally, a singles match between CM Punk and Kevin Owens was scheduled for the following week. The October 30 episode of SmackDown was also announced to feature a special titled ‘Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown’.
