The Netherlands has hosted various public initiatives aimed at increasing awareness and engagement in specific sectors. In late September, the national Week of Palliative Care was announced to take place in early October. Organized by De Zorgcirkel, the event focused on improving quality of life for those with incurable illnesses through dialogue and a national tour by Palliatieve Zorg Nederland (PZNL). Following this, the inaugural National Games Week was scheduled for late October. This initiative involved involves over 300 locations, including museums, libraries, and healthcare institutions, to make gaming more visible in public spaces through the distribution of game packages. The event is set to take place from October 26 to November 1. Other regional autumn activities in the Netherlands include the 17th edition of the Sprookjesfestival in Arnhem, scheduled for October 17 to 25, which features theatrical performances and a fairy tale parade. The Salland region is also hosting events such as the Heksendoorn magic event at Avonturenpark Hellendoorn and the Sallandse Wandelvierdaagse walking event.
