Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has been involved in several public developments in September 2026. Legal representatives for the musician threatened action against social media personality Priscilla Kyeremaa, alleging that her comments labeling him a “confused artiste” were “false, malicious, reckless and seriously injurious” to his reputation. During the same period, Shatta Wale participated in the Ghana Entrepreneurship Conference 2026 at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), where he spoke to students about brand building and digital platforms. Addressing the students, Shatta Wale—born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr.—urged them to cultivate entrepreneurial mindsets and prioritize discipline, adaptability, and lifelong learning. He emphasized that students should focus on his way of thinking rather than imitating his public persona or lifestyle, highlighting the importance of leveraging technology and the digital economy to expand personal brands. The university honored the artist with a citation for his contributions. Following a request from student leaders, Shatta Wale also pledged to provide two years of free performances for the university’s SRC Week. Additionally, a vehicle in which the artist was traveling struck several fans outside the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra following the launch of the ‘A Ga Adamgbe Scholarship Fund’. No deaths were reported in the vehicle incident.
