The administration of Paço do Lumiar, led by Mayor Fred Campos, has been implementing various public infrastructure projects. Initial developments focused on education, sports, and leisure, including the opening of the Parquinho Kids play area, the Educa Paço center for after-school activities, and a multi-sport court in Residencial Silvia Cantanhede. Following these initiatives, the municipal government expanded its focus to public health with the inauguration of a Psychosocial Care Center for Children and Adolescents (CAPSi). This specialized facility provides mental health assistance for youth, featuring medical offices, a pharmacy, and multidisciplinary spaces. Recent infrastructure expansions include the Areninha Caiaré Sports Center, a 3,000-square-meter facility developed in partnership with the Federal Government’s Ministry of Sports. The center features a football field, walking track, basketball half-court, and LED lighting for nighttime use. The administration reports that within two years, it has delivered over 10 Educa Paço hubs, 20 covered courts, and more than 25 plazas or squares.
