In Qalyubia, Egypt, local authorities have implemented various urban improvement and public service initiatives. Initial efforts focused on environmental cleanup and landscaping around Al-Nas Hospital in West Shubra al-Khimah, involving waste removal near the Ismailia Canal and the planting of trees to enhance the hospital perimeter. Following these efforts, the governorate expanded its focus to infrastructure Governor Hossam Abdel Fattah ordered intensified field monitoring of service projects and waste management systems. Deputy Governor Eman Rayan conducted inspections in the cities of Qalyub and Toukh. These operations included monitoring Toukh to monitor road paving projects, paving, such as the Haddadin tunnel, overseeing and oversee waste transfer stations, and conducting stations. These operations also included campaigns to remove street obstructions to improve traffic flow and urban order. More recently, the governorate expanded its oversight to Al Khusus. Governor Abdel Fattah inspected the development of several tunnels, including Al Rashah, Al Amir, Al Saqili, and Othman. These projects involve asphalt resurfacing, drainage system installation, and the relocation of high-voltage cables, with instructions to accelerate work for completion by August 30. Furthermore, authorities are evaluating a proposal to utilize a central median on Al Sarf Al Sehi Street for developmental projects. In coordination with the Egypt Future for Sustainable Development agency, the plan aims to establish commercial chains providing essential goods at competitive prices to alleviate economic burdens and create local employment.
