Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier continued to expand Puebla’s development agenda in early August. On a statewide health day he announced resources for schools that missed the "la escuela es nuestra" program, adding ultrasound, colposcopy and other family services, and confirmed that a qualitative 600‑day performance report will be presented on 6 August covering security, agriculture, health, education and infrastructure. Puebla will host the Tianguis Turístico México 2027 (9‑12 March) with a community‑tourism pavilion and a "Ventana a México" showcase, and the Izta‑Popo regional plan was detailed, proposing new roads, a cable‑car, a tourism‑security centre and environmental projects. A community‑aid package delivered five checks totaling 581 000 pesos to rehabilitate four child‑care centres and a training centre, benefitting 967 users. The state allocated 2 billion pesos for family‑support programs in 2026, building on previous budgets, and SEDIF announced new integrated health facilities, including a mental‑health centre for children and a rehabilitation and specialties centre. Simultaneously, the federal Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and tourism promotion across Puebla’s 217 municipalities. Transport began building the “México Imparable” community‑center network, targeting 100 sites that will serve up to 1,000 youths each with sports, cultural and mental‑health programs; the first 50 centres are under construction in 21 states, including several in Puebla.
