The British band Pulp is releasing a new 90-minute concert documentary titled ‘What Do You Do For An Encore?’. Directed by Garth Jennings and narrated by frontman Jarvis Cocker, the film chronicles the band’s history from their early years to their status as Britpop icons. The documentary utilizes four decades of archival material, previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage, and recordings from two sold-out 2025 concerts at London’s The O2. Cocker has described the experience as ‘a true journey through time’. The film is scheduled for limited theatrical screenings in September across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, the United States, and ~~Mexico. Following these one-night events, the documentary will be available for~~ Mexico, followed by a streaming release on ~~MUBI.~~ MUBI on September 25. In anticipation of the documentary, the Sheffield-born band has released a live album titled ‘Live!’. This album serves as a musical counterpart to the film, capturing the band’s performance style and songwriting.
