Quang Tri province has approved several major investment projects focused on modernization, infrastructure, and post-war safety. Digital and transportation initiatives include a 500 billion VND project scheduled for 2027 to 2030 to construct a connecting road from Dong Ha to Hai Lang to improve the regional transport network. To modernize public administration, the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee approved a 12.8 billion VND project for implementation between 2026 and 2028. Managed by the Quang Tri Provincial Public Administration Service Center, this initiative aims to upgrade digital infrastructure at the provincial center and 77 commune-level centers, while equipping digital technology teams in 31 ethnic and mountainous communes. The project will deploy artificial intelligence, AI robots, and virtual assistants to assist users with information searches and administrative processes. New applications will also support online queueing, appointment booking, and postal services for home delivery of results to reduce travel and waiting times. To support socio-economic development and safety, the province also approved a 90 billion VND investment for landmine and unexploded ordnance clearance. Running from 2026 to 2030, this project aims to clear approximately 2,400 hectares across six ~~communes~~ communes: Hoa Trach, Trung Thuan, Nam Trach, Ben Quan, Vinh Thuy, and Sen Ngu. Managed by the Provincial Military Command using mid-term public investment funds, the project includes technical surveys, clearance, collection, classification, and the destruction of explosives to ~~neutralize hazards from past conflicts.~~ a depth of 0.5 meters. This initiative is part of the National Action Programme to address the consequences of war-related landmines and unexploded ordnance for the 2026–2045 period.
