Rock band Quiet Riot has undergone a transition in its lead vocalist position following the departure of Jizzy Pearl, who fronted the group during various periods between 2013 and 2026. Initially, the band announced that Jason McMaster would serve as a temporary replacement for two shows in late August and early September. ~~During this period, the identity of the permanent successor remained unrevealed.~~ Subsequently, the band named 23-year-old John Torra, formerly of the group Fire ‘N Ice, as the new permanent lead vocalist. The selection followed an open call that attracted over 700 submissions. Torra, a vocalist from Long Island, gained significant attention after his audition videos went viral online. Band manager Regina Banali noted that the public response and support from various rock musicians made his selection feel ‘almost inevitable.’ Torra’s vocal style has been noted for its similarity to the band’s late original frontman, Kevin DuBrow. Torra is scheduled to begin touring with the current lineup, which includes Rudy Sarzo, Alex Grossi, and Johnny Kelly, starting in the fall of 2026 and continuing into 2027. Upcoming tour dates include stops across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and several South American countries, including West Hollywood.
