To support these preventive efforts in neighborhoods like Sayonara and La Matera, the city added a 2,000-ton crawler excavator to its fleet through a leasing agreement with Banco Provincia. More recently, Interim Mayor Eva Mieri has overseen the delivery of free commercial permits to businesses in Bernal as part of an effort to reduce bureaucracy. The municipality continues to prioritize the cleaning and maintenance of stream basins, including Arroyo Las Piedras, utilizing the 2,000-ton excavator to strengthen its operational capacity against potential flooding.
