While interest was noted from clubs including Inter Milan, AS Roma, and Newcastle United, negotiations appeared to shift toward US Sassuolo. However, the situation shifted decisively when Torino FC reached an agreement with Hellas Verona. The finalized deal is structured as a loan worth 1 million euros with an obligation to purchase for 5 million euros, totaling a 7 million euro package that includes a future resale percentage. This move by Torino management and coach Ignazio Abate effectively outmaneuvered Sassuolo. Belghali is expected Torino FC has now officially completed the signing of the 24-year-old right-back. Following Hellas Verona’s relegation to undergo medical examinations Serie B, the move allows Belghali, a recent 2026 World Cup participant, to remain in Turin for Serie A. The player has agreed to a long-term contract running in Turin that potentially runs until June 30, 2030.
