Razer Kraken Kitty V3 headset release and lineup expansion

Overview

Razer has unveiled the Kraken Kitty V3, a wired USB Type-C RGB gaming headset designed for streamers, content creators, and cosplay enthusiasts. The device features signature illuminated cat ears and earcups powered by Razer Chroma RGB technology, offering 16.8 million colors. To increase interactivity during live broadcasts, the headset can synchronize with the Razer Streamer Companion app to react in real-time to chat alerts, emotes, and subscriptions. For portability, the integrated USB-C cable allows the RGB lighting to remain active when connected to a portable power bank.

Technical specifications include 40 mm Razer TriForce drivers for improved frequency separation, 7.1 surround sound, and a Razer HyperClear Cardioid microphone designed to prioritize voice clarity while minimizing background noise. The headset also features hybrid fabric and leatherette ear cushions for comfort and passive noise isolation.

In a broader expansion of the Kitty headset series, Razer also introduced the Kraken Kitty V2 BT Pompompurin Edition. This Bluetooth 5.2 model, priced at $139.99, features a design inspired by the Sanrio character with character-specific ears. The Kraken Kitty V3 is noted as the lightest in the series, weighing 315g.
