The RCMP Musical Ride tour on Vancouver Island saw increased activity due to high community demand. Following performances in Courtenay and Duncan, the troop added a third evening show at the Saanich Fairgrounds after an “overwhelming response” from the public. All tickets for the additional performance sold out within hours. The tour, which features up to 32 mounted officers performing choreographed cavalry drills, continued through British Columbia. In Armstrong, performances were scheduled for August 15, 16, and a late show on Sunday to support the Cops for Kids Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the Armstrong Kin Club and the Thomas Alan Budd Foundation. During the Armstrong visit, the public could visit the stables daily to meet the horses and troop members. On August 19, the Musical Ride performed at the Williams Lake Stampede Grounds for an estimated 3,000 attendees. The sold-out event featured horses bred in Pakenham, Ontario, and included a pre-performance visit for children. A portion of the ticket proceeds was designated to support Williams Lake Community Policing, and attendees were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to the Williams Lake Salvation Army Food Bank. Mayor Surinderpal Rathor attended the event, describing it as a ~~spectacular~~ “spectacular evening for the ~~community.~~ community.” The 2026 tour concluded with final performances at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley. The weekend shows served charitable causes, with the Saturday performance benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Langley and the Sunday show supporting the Matheson Family Foundation. Following stops in British Columbia and Ontario, future performances are scheduled for Saskatchewan and the Atlantic provinces.
