Broadening the scope of celebrations, the Rádio Nacional network is also commemorating 90 years of broadcasting history. The station’s legacy includes its 1940 incorporation Originally linked to the newspaper ‘A Noite’ in Rio de Janeiro, the station was incorporated into federal government assets under Getúlio Vargas, Vargas in 1940, which expanded its reach globally. Commemorative activities include themed discussions on TV Brasil’s ‘Sem Censura’ program featuring media figures and the artists. The cinema premiere of the documentary ‘PRK-30 – O Rádio pelo Avesso’, which Avesso’ also explores the history of the iconic humor program PRK-30. To further celebrate the 90th anniversary, the station released a new music video featuring a modern version of the historical samba-enredo ‘Alô! Alô! Brasil!’, originally recorded in 1977. Produced in partnership with the Estácio de Sá samba school, the updated version includes the names of current Rádio Nacional staff and features participation from announcers, technicians, and the school’s ‘velha guarda’. The project highlights major milestones such as variety shows, sports broadcasts, and radio soap operas.
