REDMAGIC has officially launched its flagship REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ gaming smartphone in China. Following the scheduled launch on October 15, 2026, the device is now available starting at 6,499 to 6,999 yuan in three color options: Night, Glacier, and Frost, alongside a limited ‘Golden Saga’ edition. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and includes the proprietary RedCore R5 gaming chip to optimize performance, ray tracing, and frame interpolation. It is the first in the series to feature Dolby Audio. To ensure high-performance gaming, the hardware features a 6.85-inch BOE X11 AMOLED under-display screen with a 185Hz refresh rate, providing a full-screen experience without notches or cutouts. The display features ultra-narrow 0.96mm bezels and a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Thermal management is handled by an ICE cooling system, which combines an RGB liquid-cooling loop with an active internal fan spinning up to 25,500 RPM. Battery specifications include an 8,400mAh capacity, supporting 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. Additional features include 700Hz capacitive shoulder triggers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance. The device runs on RedMagic OS 12, based on Android 17. While the initial release is focused on the Chinese market, REDMAGIC is expected to provide detailed information regarding a global launch on November 3, 2026.
