Various community, cultural, and manga festivals are scheduled across Japan for late 2026. In September, Tottori will host ‘Kodomo Hiroba ’26’ featuring student-led games and food stalls, while Kobe will hold ‘Bird Fes Kobe 2026’. In Akita, the Akita Caravan Music Fes, hosted by Yu Takahashi, drew 16,000 attendees to Nikaho City with performances by artists such as Kaela Kimura and DISH//. Scheduled events for late September and October include the Akita International Festival and the Sumiyoshi Festa in Kobe, which features comedy and a Halloween parade. Other regional activities include the Takamatsu Street Performance Festa 2026 in Kagawa, the Hanyu Yosakoi Festival 2026 in Saitama, and Tounon Fes 2026 in Ehime, which aims for 10,000 attendees. Toon City also plans Toon Fes 2026 to revive local fireworks displays. In the manga and anime sector, Shueisha has announced released further details regarding Jump Festa 2027, scheduled for December 19–20, 2026, at Makuhari Messe. The Organized by five Shueisha publications, the event will include 34 feature stage programs for series from 34 different works. The ‘Jump Super Stage’ will include titles such as ‘ONE PIECE’, ‘NARUTO’, ‘Haikyu!!’, ‘My Hero Academia’, ‘Demon Slayer’, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’, ‘SPY×FAMILY’, ‘Chainsaw Man’, and ‘Spy x Family’, alongside a ‘Sakamoto Days’. Additional features include ‘Jump Studio’ programs, the ‘Jump Original Art World’ exhibition, and official merchandise shops. A new ‘Jump Station Online’ streaming stage. component will broadcast nine works via YouTube, and a ‘JF Premium Lounge’ will be available for specific ticket holders. While admission is free, entry requires prior application and invitation. Additionally, the NIGHT HIKE 2026 music and art festival is set for Makuhari Messe in late October and early November, featuring over 100 performers, including DJs and VTubers.
