Reports from across Latin America continue to highlight various regional issues involving public safety, infrastructure, and crime. In Colombia, utility providers have restored power to 84% of areas impacted by a recent storm, though thousands remain without service. Recent law enforcement activity in Bogotá includes the arrest of a woman for narcotics sales facilitated by surveillance cameras. In Mexico, authorities in Saltillo have impounded more than 900 motorcycles to enforce documentation and helmet safety regulations, while a fatal shooting was reported in Puebla.
