Cultural and artistic activities have been continue to be highlighted across the region through various festivals, colonies, and exhibitions. In Bosut, the “Veče folklora” event featured traditional folk dances, songs, and costumes from nine different cultural and artistic societies. Meanwhile, the 35th International Art Colony in Borovo brought together 29 artists from Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, resulting in numerous paintings and a new mural by Nenad Stojkov. Further regional efforts include the “Pontes” exhibition in Omiš, Croatia, which serves as a partnership between fine art associations from Sarajevo and Dugog Rat to foster cultural dialogue. The exhibition is currently on display at the AZ Gallery, blending Sarajevo’s cultural influences with the Mediterranean character of Dalmatia. In Sarajevo, the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina has opened the “Hodler and Jeanne: Painter – Model – Collection” exhibition. Held in cooperation with the Swiss Embassy, the project explores the works of Swiss modern master Ferdinand Hodler and his muse, Jeanne Charles, whose connection to Bosnia and Herzegovina helped preserve the collection in Sarajevo. This is accompanied by a performance titled “The Persistence of Presence” by Swiss artist Simon Berger. The exhibition exhibition, which is scheduled to remain open until October 10, 2026. Recent developments include the “Together” exhibition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which focuses on a generational artistic dialogue centered around the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. The exhibition showcases works from artists spanning the generations of 1972 to 1992, utilizing multimedia segments and studio videos to illustrate the evolution of individual styles. In Slovenia, the Mislinjska Valley Regional Art Section continues to promote diverse artistic styles, including ceramics styles. Additionally, in Dornava, the Institute for Training, Work and digital art, through creative meetings Protection Dr. Marijan Borštnar has opened an exhibition at the municipal gallery featuring drawings, paintings, graphics, sculptures, and communal workspaces. ceramics created by the institute's users. This exhibition, which includes local Dornava figurines, will remain on display until the end of October.
