Regional high school football updates

Overview

High school football standings show various district leaders maintaining undefeated records, including Waco La Vega in District 13-4A Division II and Mason in District 7-2A Division I.

In the Hendrick Hudson School District, the Sailors won a homecoming football game against Tappan Zee on September 18. However, the athletic department subsequently cancelled all games and practices scheduled for September 26-27 due to incoming weather, with plans to reschedule the affected matches.

Recent athletic reports from Hendrick Hudson indicate mixed results following these disruptions. On September 25, the football team suffered its first loss of the season, falling 42-14 to Pelham. While both teams were undefeated at 3-0 entering the game, Pelham secured the victory by pulling away in the second half. Hendrick Hudson is scheduled to face Briarcliff/Hamilton on October 3.

In other sports, the Hendrick Hudson girls volleyball team lost to Somers with a score of 3-1 on September 28.
