Regional governments in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Paraguay continue to advance housing and property regularization initiatives. In Argentina, efforts have expanded through provincial lotteries and land transfers. In Zenón Pereyra, 13 homes were allocated via lottery, while in Bariloche, the provincial government is working to transfer land to the municipality to create 68 social housing lots. In Buenos Aires, the ‘Programa Completar’ is being used to finish 11 homes in Quilmes, and construction has resumed for 18 homes in the Fátima neighborhood following national funding halts. In Carlos Casares, 34 families received new homes through provincial and municipal programs. In Formosa, the IPV is processing applications for 200 homes, and in Resistencia, 20 homes were delivered. In La Pampa, the IPAV is defending its public lottery system, while Mendoza has extended debt relief plans. Additionally, in Huincul, approximately 20 families in the Barrio Norte sector must obtain occupation certificates to regularize electrical connections. In Corrientes, Invico is working to recover 52 unfinished units in the Dr. Montaña neighborhood that suffered deterioration due to funding interruptions, while Governor Juan Pablo Valdés announced new housing lines for single individuals. Recent developments in Argentina show a push toward modernization and recovery. Corrientes is modernizing Invico and introducing the ‘Vivienda Unipersonal’ program for single adults, alongside ‘Ahorro Previo,’ where the state finances 70% to 80% of a home’s value. Furthering these goals, the IPAV in Santa Rosa recently issued official property titles to ten families. In Río Negro, over 4,000 families are seeking land ownership regularization through the Pierri Law, which utilizes state support and notary agreements to provide low-cost documentation. In Buenos Aires province, documentation updates are underway for 180 families under the Familia Propietaria Plan, while San Vicente is registering housing conditions in the Moroni neighborhood. neighborhood using digital tools.
