Various religious communities in Chile, Spain, Venezuela, and Argentina have held or are preparing for traditional patron saint celebrations. In mid October, festivities in Arica, Chile, included religious dances and prayers at the Santa Cruz Parish. Simultaneously, in Yunquera de Henares, Spain, the return of the Virgen de la Granja to her hermitage concluded local celebrations following weather delays. By late October, celebrations expanded to include the Bajada de Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Chiquinquirá in Maracaibo, Venezuela. The Basilica Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá has completed preparations for the Bajada de la Chinita, scheduled for Saturday, October 31. This event involves the descent of the sacred relic and is expected to draw thousands of devotees. To facilitate the ceremony, authorities have implemented security protocols, including the deployment of over two thousand police and National Guard officers. Logistical measures include the installation of a slide for the descent, the restoration of the sanctuary's dome, and the establishment of hydration and health points. In Maracaibo, Mayor Giancarlo Di Martino emphasized the event as a moment of social cohesion and hope. Meanwhile, in Valencia, Venezuela, the Cathedral is preparing for festivities for Our Lady of Socorro beginning November 1. These celebrations include a Misa Criolla presided over by Archbishop Jesús González de Zárate Salas, marking the 116th anniversary of the canonical coronation of the image. In Almendralejo, Spain, preparations began for a historic visit of the image of Nuestra Señora de la Piedad to the municipal cemetery. Additionally, in Río Blanco, festivities involving masses, processions, and parades were held in honor of Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Río Blanco y Paypaya. On October 30, the festivities for the Virgin of Chiquinquirá officially began in Maracaibo with the Bajada de la Virgen.
