Regional urban renovation and infrastructure projects

Various urban renovation and infrastructure projects are underway across several regions. In Les Borges Blanques, local authorities have announced plans to rehabilitate the Placeta del Terrall to address deterioration through new pavement and urban furniture. Meanwhile, in Andorra la Vella, the remodeling of Plaça Bartomeu Rebés Duran has faced delays of over two months despite being approximately 75% complete.

In Catalonia, major developments are progressing in Igualada and Barcelona. The first phase of the Passeig Verdaguer reform in Igualada is set to begin after the summer, with a long-term objective of undergrounding the train line. This project, awarded to the Acciona-Copcisa UTE, is expected to last 30 months, during which the R6 rail line will terminate at Vilanova del Camí. In Barcelona, the rehabilitation of La Rambla is entering its final stages. This five-year project, which began in 2022, aims to prioritize pedestrian space and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027, though it has faced local concerns regarding construction impacts and aesthetic changes.
