Relationship of Laura Wontorra and Riccardo Basile
Overview
German television presenters Laura Wontorra and Riccardo Basile transitioned from a private relationship to public life in late 2026. The couple made their first official public appearance together at the ‘BILD100’ event in Berlin in September, where they told reporters, ‘We are happy to be here together tonight.’
In October, the pair announced they are expecting their first child. The announcement was made via Instagram on October 7 using images of an ultrasound and pink baby shoes, accompanied by the caption, ‘Half you. Half me.’ While the imagery led to speculation that they are expecting a girl, the couple has not officially confirmed the baby’s gender. The child is expected to arrive in the spring of 2027.
Following the announcement, Wontorra, 37, and Basile, 34, received widespread congratulations. On October 12, Wontorra shared approximately 20 images from a Mediterranean cruise on Instagram, providing further glimpses of her pregnancy to her followers. By October 17, Wontorra returned to professional duties, appearing at a red carpet event to support an organization providing assistance dogs for people with disabilities or illnesses.
