Release of Asha Bhosle’s final film song and AR Rahman's 'A$
The final recorded film song of legendary Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle, titled ‘Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan’, was scheduled for release to coincide with her birth anniversary. The track was recorded in late 2023 for the drama-comedy film ‘Om Ka Hari’, directed by Harish Vyas. Following Bhosle’s death on April 12, 2026, at the age of 92, the song was officially released during the film’s music launch event in Mumbai on September 7, 2026. The release serves as a tribute to her eight-decade career in Indian cinema. To further mark her 93rd birth anniversary, music composer AR Rahman released a special tribute song titled ‘Asha Forever’. The track, which was recorded by Rahman with Bhosle during her lifetime, was unveiled in Mumbai by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, alongside composer AR Rahman, Cabinet Minister Ashish Shelar, and Bhosle’s granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle. Produced by Rooh Records and distributed by Warner Music India, ‘Asha Forever’ features musicians from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London and was filmed in both London and Mumbai. The project aims to celebrate the enduring legacy of the singer, who was widely regarded as one of India’s most versatile vocalists.
