Good Smile Company initiated early access for the PlayStation 5 version of the 3D action game ‘Mobile Police Patlabor the Case Files’ on September 14, 2026. The early access period provided players with 72 hours of playtime ahead of the official launch. On September 17, 2026, the game was officially released for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Developed by Chime and supervised by original series staff, including Yutaka Izubuchi and Kazunori Ito, the game features missions from the perspectives of Special Vehicle Section 2 and their ~~opponents, including~~ opponents. Players can control over 20 pilotable ~~‘Labors’.~~ ‘Labors’, such as the AV-98 Ingram and Type-J9 Griffon. The title includes three primary modes: Main Missions, Another Side Missions, and a Simulator Mode for shooting practice and combat. To mark the release, a 10% discount was offered for the PC version for 14 days. A limited edition physical version for PlayStation 5 is also available, featuring a special color version of the MODEROID Griffon model. Future plans include DLC featuring the ‘Ingram Plus’ and participation in the Tokyo Game Show 2026.
