Religious and cultural infrastructure in Chaharmahal and Bak

Overview

In Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, officials are focusing on the development and management of religious and cultural infrastructure.

Discussions between the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and managers of Quranic and Itrat cultural institutions have addressed operational challenges and the progress of a 10,000-square-meter Quranic complex, which has received investments of approximately 25 to 30 billion Tomans. These institutions are viewed as vital for training youth and women and providing religious education.

Simultaneously, authorities are working to organize and improve roadside prayer rooms to support travelers. The province currently maintains 17 roadside prayer rooms, 13 service complexes, and 44 gas stations. Officials emphasized the need for continuous supervision and infrastructure completion to ensure service quality for drivers and families navigating the province’s mountainous transit routes.
