Singer Remi Wolf released the ballad ‘I Won’t Cry’ ahead of her third studio album, ‘Mud’, which is scheduled for release on October 9 via Island Records. The track, described as a “sad, yearning, and dramatic song” with country and Southern rock elements, was co-produced by Wolf, Jack DeMeo, and Solomonphonic. It was written and recorded during a writing retreat in Big Bear, with a music video co-directed by Wolf and Milo Nichols. Following the album announcement, Wolf scheduled a free ‘Mud & Sud’ release party at the Los Feliz Car Wash in Los Angeles on October 9. She also announced a tour supporting the 11-track album, beginning in Australia in December 2026 and continuing through North America in 2027. Upon the album’s release, Wolf noted that ‘Mud’ marks a stylistic departure toward folk music influences. She described the project as an emotional dichotomy, calling it both the “saddest and most fun record she has ever written,” noting the creative process was shaped by personal upheaval and burnout following five years of continuous touring. The album explores themes of self-identity, addiction, and romance through a genre-agnostic lens, featuring tracks such as ‘Bottle’, ‘Moon So High’ (a collaboration with John Mayer), ‘Champagne’, and ‘I Won’t Cry’. The supporting trek, titled ‘The Mud Tour’, is set to begin in December with appearances at the Spilt Milk Festival in Australia, including stops in Canberra, Gold Coast, and Perth. The tour will then move to North America, featuring dates in major cities across the United States and Canada, such as New York, Toronto, and Vancouver, through May.
