Renault Grand expands limited edition Kangoo Couleur release releases in Japan
Renault Japon announced the upcoming September release of the ‘Renault Grand Kangoo Couleur’, a limited-edition 7-seater minivan. The vehicle features a unique ‘Orange Colonges’ body color inspired by the French village of Collonges-la-Rouge. Only 50 units are scheduled for production, with sales expected to be managed through a lottery system. Following the announcement, the model was officially launched in Japan. The vehicle is equipped with a 1.3-liter gasoline turbo engine, a 7-speed automatic transmission, and ‘extended grip’ technology. It offers high interior versatility, with seating configurations capable of providing up to 3,050 liters of cargo capacity. The price is set at 4.82 million yen, and the lottery sales period is scheduled to run until September 27, after which any remaining units will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Following the rapid sell-out of the Grand Kangoo Couleur, Renault announced an additional 100 units in May featuring colors such as ‘Jaune La Poste’ and ‘Vert Paris’. This large L-size minivan features a wheelbase 390mm longer than the standard model and includes Japan-exclusive features like unpainted black bumpers and double back doors. Furthermore, Renault announced the ‘Kangoo Limite’, a 25-unit limited edition 5-seater model scheduled for release in October 2026. Designed with an outdoor aesthetic, this edition will feature Toyo Tires OPEN COUNTRY A/T III all-terrain tires and 16-inch matte black Crimson wheels. It will be available in both 1.3-liter gasoline and 1.5-liter diesel turbo engine configurations.
