Individual instances of lost property being returned in Italy have been reported in Procida and Ragusa. In Procida, a man discovered a backpack containing approximately 3,000 euros, checks, and various cards. After attempting to locate the owner via social media, the Mayor of Procida assisted in finding a contact, allowing the bag to be returned intact to the owner’s relative. In the Ragusa region, a 52-year-old man of Moroccan origin found a wallet containing roughly 2,900 euros and identification at a service station. He station in Contrada Majorana while traveling to work in Comiso. The wallet contained approximately 2,900 euros in cash, payment cards, and identification. The man surrendered the items to the Carabinieri, who used the enclosed documents to identify the owner, a 41-year-old nurse living in Ragusa and working in Catania. The owner successfully has since recovered all cash and items. belongings, confirming that no money or documents were missing.
