Republic Bank Habitat Fair ~~in Accra~~ Expansion

The JoyNews-Republic Bank Habitat Fair is a recurring event in Accra, Ghana, designed to connect prospective homeowners and property investors with professionals in the housing and construction sectors. The first fair, held at the Achimota Retail Centre from August 21 to 23, 2026, focused on building materials, home financing, and construction solutions under the theme ‘Dream it. Explore it. Own it.’ A second iteration took place from September 11 to 13, 2026, at Marina Mall. This event continued to bridge gaps between builders and various industries, including real estate, security, and renewable energy. Republic Bank Ghana utilized the platform to showcase mortgage solutions for salaried workers and entrepreneurs, while participants like Drive EV GH introduced electric mobility and the development of the X-ChargeEV smart charging network. A third event, referred to as the Habitat Fair Clinic, was held from September 25 to 27, 2026, at the Junction Mall in Nungua. This session provided a platform for developers, investors, and financial institutions to explore the homeownership journey. Republic Bank Ghana officials offered guidance on financing options and property requirements. Exhibitors at this clinic included Saint-Gobain Weber Ghana, Virtual Security Africa, and Drive EV GH, highlighting modern solutions such as renewable energy, home security, and building materials. The fair is expanding beyond Accra with its maiden Volta edition scheduled for October 16 to 18, 2026, at the Ho Sports Stadium. This three-day event aims to provide residents of the Volta Region with direct access to housing projects, property development, and financing options, reducing the necessity for travel to major cities for such exhibitions.
