Sıla Usar İncirli, leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), has signaled a push for political change in Cyprus. Initially, İncirli expressed confidence that the current government would be removed in upcoming elections, citing a public decision already made. She pledged to prioritize “the right decisions rather than the easy ones” and promised full transparency in public spending to combat corruption and nepotism. She also identified the need for a population census to address administrative shortcomings. Following these statements, the CTP formalized its readiness to govern through a platform titled ‘Honest Management, Strong Service, Secure Future’. This platform focuses on five pillars: combating corruption, economic management, health and education improvements, public reform, and the management of population, migration, and security. To address corruption, the party proposed creating an Anti-Corruption Authority and strengthening audit institutions. İncirli also cited polling data suggesting the CTP is the leading party with the potential to secure a parliamentary majority. Expanding on this vision, İncirli has announced a new political program under the slogan “Now the Word is Ours.” This strategy utilizes a three-stage approach: halting current mismanagement, improving institutions and the economy, and establishing the future through permanent reforms and investments. The program maintains its focus on five core priorities, specifically detailing a transition to full-day education, reducing bureaucracy through public sector reform, and implementing a comprehensive population census within 15–18 months. Additionally, the party intends to place limitations on exceptional citizenship. Recent polling by Metron Public Opinion Research supports the party’s claim of being the leading entity capable of securing a parliamentary majority.
