Øresund Bridge traffic and operational changes
Overview
The Øresund Bridge, which connects Denmark and Sweden, has undergone several operational adjustments. In late September, the bridge was scheduled for a complete closure during the evening to facilitate a large-scale emergency preparedness exercise involving 14 Danish and Swedish authorities.
In late October, traffic patterns in the bridge tunnel were modified to implement two-way traffic during specific nighttime hours. During these periods, speed limits were reduced, overtaking was prohibited, and vehicles wider than 3.5 meters were restricted from passing through. While these changes affected motorists, train services were expected to remain normal.
