Retail developments in San Sebastián de los Reyes

Overview

In San Sebastián de los Reyes, the supermarket chain Mercadona has opened a new location on Avenida de Tenerife in the Dehesa Vieja neighborhood. This move is intended to compete with rivals Lidl and Aldi. The new store follows the closure of a previous Mercadona branch on Calle de los Ciruelos, which was considered insufficient for sales and facilities. The new site utilizes a ‘Tienda 9’ philosophy, featuring a modified layout and improved refrigeration systems.
