The game show ‘The Chase’ is returning to the Greek television network Mega for its sixth consecutive season. Hosted by Maria Bekatorou, the program has already surpassed 1,000 episodes. In the upcoming season, four contestants will compete for cash prizes that can exceed 10,000 euros. Participants must face a group of experts known as ‘Chasers,’ which includes ‘The Hawk,’ ‘The Mountain,’ ‘The Woman in Black,’ ‘The Unlucky Inspector,’ and ‘Super Boy.’ A new sixth Chaser, nicknamed ‘Mrs. Know-It-All,’ ~~will join~~ has been introduced to the ~~existing~~ lineup. This role is filled by Petroula Ganiou, who previously appeared as a contestant on the show in 2022. Ganiou holds a postgraduate degree in Ancient Greek Studies and has a professional background as a philologist and a judicial officer at the Tripoli Court of First Instance. Bekatorou noted the positive public reception to the show and highlighted the unique dynamic of players competing against human experts rather than machines.
