The comedy series ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ is scheduled to return to Netflix for its fifth season on September 26, following a six-month hiatus. The new season is themed ‘Hasi Ka Tyohaar’ (Festival of Laughter) to align with the festive season. Returning cast members include Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, and Navjot Singh Sidhu. New episodes are set to stream every Saturday at 8 pm. The season premiere will feature actor Ajay Devgn and the cast of the film ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ to promote the upcoming theatrical release. Guests for the premiere include Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Jaideep Ahlawat, and director Abhishek Pathak. The episode is expected to feature comedic segments, such as Sunil Grover impersonating Devgn and Jaideep Ahlawat participating in dance numbers with the regular ensemble. ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ is the third and final chapter of the Hindi franchise. Unlike previous installments, this film features an original script rather than a remake of the Malayalam version and is slated for theatrical release on October 2.
