Following a pre-World Championships tournament in Chieti, Italy, where the Italian team and Sofia Raffaeli secured top rankings, the 42nd Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships commenced in Frankfurt, Germany. The Frankfurt ~~event~~ event, held at the Festhalle from August 12 to 16, involves 344 international ~~athletes competing in~~ athletes, including 100 individual gymnasts and ~~group categories.~~ 42 groups. The championships serve as a qualification pathway for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
