Ribociclib Natalee study breast cancer results

Overview

Long-term data from the Phase III Natalee study indicates that ribociclib (Kisqali), when combined with hormone therapy, reduces the risk of death by approximately 19% to 20% in patients with early-stage, HR-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer.

Presented at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress, the findings show that survival benefits increased over the six-year observation period. Specifically, the absolute difference in overall survival rose from 1.2% at five years to 2.1% at six years. The study also noted improvements in invasive disease-free survival, which increased from 4.1% at five years to 5.3% at six years.

The research involved approximately 5,100 patients across 20 countries, focusing on high-risk patients in stages II and III. Experts noted that these results reinforce the long-term value of the combination therapy for this patient population.
